Let an expert examine the complete installation of your home: whether it complies with regulations, whether everything works efficiently, what is causing the problem and whether a claim is viable, so that, if necessary, legal action can be taken against those responsible.
Defects of installations in dwellings or buildings

When should you claim for defects in the installations of a home?

Domestic hot water (DHW) systems
Domestic hot water (DHW) systems often fail: pumps break down, heat exchangers do not heat or cool properly, and pipes leak. If you notice DHW installation problems in a new build, seek expert advice to prepare a claim.

Solar panels
While solar energy is eco-friendly and sustainable, solar panel installations can suffer defects: poorly anchored supports, incorrect wiring, circuit leaks, or underperformance. These faults devalue your investment and can be subject to claims.

Home automation
Home automation systems are meant to enhance comfort and efficiency, yet sensor failures, unresponsive control units, or faulty actuators are common. These defects increase costs and reduce functionality, giving grounds to claim against installers.
If you have any of the problems listed above, whether with the DHW system, solar panels or home automation, you should not just put up with them: you should claim. There is a legal guarantee of 3 years for this type of damage under the Spanish Building Act (LOE) from the handover of the works, and once the damage has appeared you have a further 2 years to bring a claim.
If you have any other habitability damage, do not hesitate to claim. At DPCON we specialise in claiming for damp damage, poor acoustic insulation, swimming pools and air leaks, among others, and you should not hesitate to take a claim to court.
